So this week I made Asian inspired food and it turned out really good. I decided to make Teriyaki beef lettuce wraps and a hot and sour noodle salad side dish. I was really,really hungry so I had my mom pick up some egg rolls and dumplings from our favorite Chinese restaurant.Next week I will be making a Russian dish ... now that sounds yummy!
TERIYAKI BEEF LETTUCE WRAPS Recipe
After meat is browned drain the the meat then return to pan


Add in all the other ingredients to the meat and let simmer for 5 min.
- 1 pkg ground beef
- 1tsp grated peeled fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup sliced green onion
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped mint or mint flakes
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp rice wine
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 3 large shredded carrots
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- black pepper to taste
Add the grated ginger to the ground beef .. let brown
- Vermicelli noodles
- 4 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup of sliced green onions
- 3 tsp of chili sauce
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
