So this week I made Asian inspired food and it turned out really good. I decided to make Teriyaki beef lettuce wraps and a hot and sour noodle salad side dish. I was really,really hungry so I had my mom pick up some egg rolls and dumplings from our favorite Chinese restaurant.Next week I will be making a Russian dish ... now that sounds yummy! TERIYAKI BEEF LETTUCE WRAPS Recipe
- 1 pkg ground beef
- 1tsp grated peeled fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup sliced green onion
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped mint or mint flakes
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp rice wine
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 3 large shredded carrots
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- black pepper to taste
Add the grated ginger to the ground beef .. let brown
Add in all the other ingredients to the meat and let simmer for 5 min.
- Vermicelli noodles
- 4 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup of sliced green onions
- 3 tsp of chili sauce
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
