Fashion Inspiration

I wanted to write a short blog about the woman who inspire me in fashion! They have the coolest style without even knowing it and I hate to say that I steal looks from these ladies! Take a look :) Alison Mosshart from the Kills and the Dead Weather has got to be my number one favorite!
Even down to her Gold boots... LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

I love Milla Jovovich and have for about 10 yrs now!!! Her old line Jovovich Hawk was one of the best :) She shows that you can even look cool as a mommy!

She is just so BEAUTIFUL!

and Charlotte Kemp ... Sean Lennon's' Girlfriend has really cool style!

So amazing ... I will always gravitate towards Gothic style it's in my blood!

and Lenny Kravitz's daughter Zoe she is my fave at the moment.... I truly dig her style!

Well that is just a few but I love their great style!

Why can't Men Dress Like This?

So if any one who knows me well I am obsessed with Albert Hammond Jr. of the Strokes. Even their music inspires me and their look!I also see men dressed in suits a lot and they do it ALL WRONG.... sometimes I just want to be their stylist and shop for suits for them.Albert Hammond Jr. has come out with his own line of suits for CONFEDERACY in LA and WOW it looks AMAZING!!!! His suits might be a bit pricey for the ordinary guy but geeze go thrift shopping and get ideas... just PLEASE take a look in the mirror before you leave the house! JUST SAYING! What to Do on a Gloomy Monday

Today was rainy and gloomy so I cleaned my room and came across my Great Grandmother's jewelry boxes and became crafty. I busted out my vintage clutches that I collect and some old lockets and spiffed them up! this jewelry box belonged to my great grandma Sampson ... I never met her but she was from Finland :) this was my Grandma's jewelry box that my grandpa Rivas had brought from Japan in the late 1940's ... he was in the Navy :)

I found this old eagle patch and sewed it on this vintage clutch

I am in LOVE with bats ... I had this old bat finding that was in my Grandma's jewelry box and used bead glue .. vintage clutch with removable strap

I also ADORE seahorses and this is one of my favorite vintage clutches... I have had this seahorse for awhile and glued it to this clutch today!!

All day I watched The Darjeeling Limited ..... By far the best movie ever.. well to me it is!

I made this E.T. locket

and this vintage doll locket I made

And I also made a Ronald McDonald locket

All the lockets are made with vintage lace and pics

Then I cleaned Keanu's room today and he wanted a tent fort over his bed with lights ... it turned out pretty cool :)

Then after homework and dinner Keanu and I sat down and played Monopoly all night......

and of course Keanu won :)

Sometimes it's just good to have the TV turned off!

Well that sums up my day and tomorrow I will go Vintage shopping all day! Till then... good night JAR!!

Wild Things Party

Last night I threw the best movie party EVER! Where The Wild Things Are.... we had so much fun and sooooo much YUMMY food thanks to myself and my older brother Billy! Thanks to everyone who came to our party.... let the wild rumpus start!
I made a Where the Wild Things Are Mud Cake and it was so Delicious

keanu and I made crowns

1) get paper crowns from Burger King

2) spray paint them Gold

we played the movie soundtrack as we were by the fire outside... it really felt as if we were in the woods and with THE WILD THINGS :)

I love the feeling of camp fire :)

Then we watched the movie and ate all the YUMMY food!

I made a photo booth to take pictures in...I also created and painted the mask's and boat

So much FUN!!!!!

Until the King of the wild things fell asleep

Great party ..... next party is for the movie Fantastic Mr. Fox ... so will you be attending my next movie party???? I hope so till then JAR

I Hate Being Sick

Today I woke up REALLY sick!!!!! I hate being sick because I have so much stuff to do and now all I can do is stay in bed :( I spend all my time as a mom taking care of Keanu and even my mom... that when I get sick there is no one to take care of me! OH WELL .... I can take care of myself...... I better feel better for my Where The Wild Things Are party this Saturday night. Well these are a few items that will get me through today........ 1) chicken soup with crackers
2) ice cold Dr.Pepper :)

3) A very hot shower

4) then a cold and hot pack on my head and neck

5) DRUGS

6) I am gonna watch the movie Pollock

then hopefully I will feel better soon ..... I didn't get to go Vintage shopping this week...SORRY ..I was gonna do it today but I can't even move from my bed!

My Wild Tuesday

Today I will call it my wild morning..... I stayed up late last night making Where The Wild Things are mask for my party on Saturday! Then early this morning at 8 am I was at target buying the movie and the new NYLON magazine :) Then I started on the MAX mask and just got done..... wow I am soooo tired and my hand is numb but Keanu is gonna be soooo excited to see the mask! I am such a wonderful mom and I will do anything for him! Tonight we are making Max's boat out of cardboard...FUN! So I am watching Where The Wild Things Are ... and trying not to think about food... I hate eating healthy... YUCK!!!
