Keanu's First Art Show

Keanu had his first little art showing last Saturday at the Butler's Courtyard in League City. He wasn't able to attend but he did win an award and a coupon for free ice cream. Keanu was like" WHAT I want money not ice cream!" I am glad he is following in my footsteps .... well I take that back he doesn't want to be an artist, he wants to be a professional video gamer ..... UGH!

Butterflies in the Mail

  I finally found a place in Texas that ships real butterflies and they are really cheap. I have been searching for real butterflies to put in my glass bell jars. My package of 3 beautiful butterflies came in the mail yesterday. I will be purchasing more for a framed art display I will be working on soon.

Lime Crime Lip Noir Colors

I received my new Lime Crime lip noir colors in last week but I just now had the time to blog about it. Lime Crime just came out with 2 new colors and they brought back Styletto for this collection. I now have their whole collection of wonderful lipsticks. Check out my blog about the rainbow collection HERE.

The shipping box is now purple and it came with a really cool booklet

Chinchilla - light purple grey

Glamour 101- dark red

Styletto- black ( I already had this color )

My favorite out of all three is still Styletto my least favorite is chinchilla on me ... I wish it were a true grey color. I like Glamour 101 but my favorite red is still retrofuturist from Lime Crime!

My Record Collection on Sunday

Today has been a great day .... Sushi with Billy and Keanu and then record shopping. I found some amazing music. We also went video game shopping and then ate ice cream outside. Now I am in my room listening to my new Miles Davis record and painting pics for my art show in November. I want more days like today :)

I can't believe I found this Yoko Ono record from 1985

and it has a song on it called Starpeace and Sean Lennon is singing with her!

Nirvana 20 years ago

WOW ... I am sitting at home watching Nirvana's 1991 concert on VH1 and I am feeling really old! I remember the first time I ever heard Nirvana's Nevermind record well it was on cassette tape. I was sitting in my front yard in my drug dealers car ... yes and he was my boyfriend at the time. I am ashamed to say this but I was almost 14 and dropping acid. Those were the days I try to forget those days,but I will never forget listening to Teen Spirit blasting on the car stereo. So where were you 20 years ago or where were you the first time you heard a Nirvana song? And yes I will turn 34 years old in 3 months :(

Albino Animals

Keanu and I spent an hour looking at albino animals the other day. I was really fascinated by them as  I was doing research for my next painting of an albino peacock. They are truly AMAZNG and Beautiful!
